Annual board exams for classes 10 through 12 in challenging areas will start in April 2008.
Relevantly, the BOSE has selected 444 such schools in the Jammu and Kashmir divisions, for which the yearly regular exams will be held in April rather than March.
In addition, the Board designated the entire Leh area of the Union Territory of Ladakh as a “hard zone” and instructed that exams be held in April as a result.
Additionally, it had stated that the Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir hard zones’ yearly routine inspection would take place in April.

“Results of annual regular examination of Kashmir Division, Jammu Division, and Union territory of Ladakh including hard zones shall be declared simultaneously in the month of June,” BOSE stated in a notification.
